NAPERVILLE MY HOME CLUB

Today is July 19,2007
I had the privilege to visit my home Club The Rotary Club Of Naperville.
I presented Mr Mike Myers with a Paul Harris recognition for truly 'Service Above Self".
Mike saw a 16 year old loose control of her car and crash it into a small lake behind
his home. He dove into the water and pulled the injured young girl from the car just
before the car sank. WOW SERVICE ABOVE SELF!!

The meeting went well with the Board and it seems that President Mike has his team
at full speed ahead. Membership goals are in place, the Club has four members on
the District Team. It also has 12 Paul Harris Society members. Way to go!.

The lunch meeting was attended by about 100, a little light but it is summer vacation time.
Past District Governor Art Muelhausen was there with his wife Ellen, I assume he was
checking to see if the talk was good enough for his club at 7 AM Friday morning.
The Mayor of Naperville was there as well, he is a member you know. Chicken Caesar
salad was the fare for today at the Key Wester in Naperville. If you have never been there
the room we meet in is themed as if you are on an ocean bottom looking up. Very cool
with SCUBA divers on the ceiling and a huge fish tank that holds about 1500 gallons
of salt water. Sandy was presented with a giant flower arrangement.

This is a great Club with all there ducks in a row.
