8/24 & 25/07

Friday night
Rotary District 6450 has a program that awards a $23,000 scholarship to a student for over seas study for one year.
The process is that the night before the interview there is a social to see the applicants in action. Friday Sandy and I had
about 25 to 30 guest for this social time. The guests included the sponsors as well as the Foundation Committee and students.
The meal was prepares by My Chef Catering and it was geared to heavy appetizers with a great desert tray. Everything was perfect. [except the weather]

Saturday morning and afternoon.
Continental breakfast for the interview team at 8 AM.
The interviews started at 9 AM and we had seven quality candidates, we dealt with a flat tire and a candidate on a bicycle that went the wrong way from the LISLE train station and ended up in Glen Ellyn instead of Naperville [oh well].
It took until almost 4 PM to finish and choose one as well the alternates.
Another great Rotary Day is done.
Thanks to the Clubs and the committee.
