Chicago Near South [same day 8/22/07

The Near South Club meets in the mecca of education on the South side at IIT. A unique meeting place to be sure, the "EL"
runs directly over this building and you don't even hear it because of the special sound deadening design. WOW.
They have a private meeting room and a catered lunch buffet that included a moist CHICKEN breast,
noodles and meat sauce veggies and fantastic cookies.
Cassandra has a young 4 year old Club that is growing and yet again I was pleased to induct a new member.
May Chan Gohres was sponsored by Erica Chianelli.
A goal of $3100 to the Rotary Foundation and no less than 8 projects in the works. This is a Club to watch for a big future.
Here we have a membership goal of net 4 = way to go!!

Meeting number 3 today.
What an exciting event this was. The Rotoract Club of Chicago along with myself, DGE Mike Slevnik, David Templin and Mike Youngman met at the Flat Top Grill in Oak Park to discuss the involvement of Rotary and Rotoract together.
I think there were about 9 of us total. The discussions continued for about 2 1/2 hours over some great food that you select
yourself and then have them cook it, how fun.
