DOWNERS GROVE IS THE NEXT CAMP ON THE SAFARI

The Downers Grove Club has a really nice meeting place and private room at Parkers Grill.
Chicken once again [will we ever run out?] This chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy with a tangy teriyaki sauce.
The the nicely decorated plate included a spicy sweet mango salad and desert looked fabulous as well but I had to miss it.
The Rotary Club of Downers Grove is a successful Club that may be looking at starting a new sunrise club, we will see.
They have 52 members and I was very happy to bring two more members to the Family of Rotary today.
Scholarships, community involvement, support and volunteers for Katrina victims in Mississippi as well as Alliance for smiles
in China. An Interact Club a youth exchange student and two students to RYLA in the fall shows that this Club is going in the
correct direction.
PDG Irv Kaplan and PDG Spouse Yvonne Ingalls were at the meeting and presented the first two "PDG Rich Ingalls Memorial Scholarships" to two students from the Downers Grove High Schools on from North and one from South. These scholarships focus on vocational studies and were awarded to the two for Service to the community .
A goal of $100 per member to The Rotary Foundation and a new Club Runner computer system will help run the club and also
brings this Club into the 21st century.
Congratulations to President Kieth and all of the Club members, this will be a year to "SHARE ROTARY"
because ROTARY SHARES.
