Manteno 8/27/07

As I headed South towards Manteno I was on the phone for a while and I kept going South and I thought I had gone too far
so I went back north only to find out that in fact I had not gone far enough south even tho I thought I had detected a southern accent [just kidding]. I did arrive a little late for the board meeting.
Lunch was BBQ CHICKEN, steamed mixed vegetables and smashed potatoes with a fresh crisp tomato and cucumber salad. The Club meets a nice Golf Club and has the whole place to themselves.
I want all the Clubs with visits ahead to know that I am getting used to inducting new members and I was asked to do it here in Manteno. It was a pleasure to induct "Irish O'Rielly".
A large group from Manteno may attend the District Conference.
Interesting projects are included in the club's community support, how about a community phone book and then move the meeting place to support a struggling public golf club. "Service Above Self". Dictionaries for 3rd graders is in process.
The membership goal is 8 net new members.
